Queenstown Welcomes Alice Robinson Home for Celebration Fundraiser
Queenstown Olympian and World Cup alpine skiing star Alice Robinson will share her season’s highlights, which saw her finishing second in World Cup Super G and regularly on the podium, at a Queenstown Alpine Ski Team (QAST) celebration night and fundraiser on September 5 at Cargo Brew Hall at Arthur’s Point.
In a double billing, NZSki CEO Paul Anderson will provide an exclusive presentation of the Doolans Expansion project at The Remarkables, outlining what the proposed development will mean for the future of skiing in Queenstown and New Zealand.
The event follows on from a highly successful fundraising event featuring Alice and coach Tim Cafe last year which saw widespread support from the skiing community and raised $40,000 to help fund new ski racing gates, high-quality cameras and tablets for on-hill video review which are currently widely in use by coaches and athletes.
QAST programme director Damien O’Connell is encouraging people from around the region to take the opportunity to hear Alice and her coaching team share their season’s outstanding journey.
“Alice has had remarkable results and we are so proud that she began her career in Queenstown with QAST and of what she has managed to achieve on the world stage. We look forward to hearing what goes on behind the scenes at top level alpine racing and what comes next for her.”
“The added attraction of a presentation of NZSki’s hugely significant Doolans project promises an outstanding evening for both skiers and non-skiers.”
The evening will have an après-ski food and drink theme and will also feature a live auction with all proceeds from the evening going towards the next generation of local ski racing athletes.
Event Details: Saturday September 5 2026 – 6.00pm Cargo Brew Hall Arthur’s Point.
Tickets available at qast.org.nz - $150pp including food and drink.
