Project Update Night Works Gorge Road 2

Night works - Gorge Road

Two weeks of night works on Gorge Road are being undertaken to complete the installation of three power ducts.

These works are being done at night to assist with the installation of above ground street lighting at a later date.

We will begin these works on Monday 19 June.

A road closure will take place with a detour via Robins Road during the hours 7:00pm to 11:00pm.

Please allow for a short delay if you’re travelling through here.

What to expect over the next week

Timing of night works: Monday 19 June- Monday 3 July; 7.00pm – 11.00pm.

Location of works: Gorge Road, Turner Street, Henry Street, intersection (as indicated by map below).

Type of work: Night works Installing power ducting underground.

Impact of works: There is likely to be intermittent loud noise and vibration during these works. This will be monitored by the contractors and mitigation measures put in place where required. We will work directly with any businesses that could experience greater levels of disruption.

Road closures/diversions: A short section of Gorge Road will close. Please use the alternative route via Robins Road. Please follow the traffic and pedestrian signs and take extra care at all times.

Times and dates may change due to unforeseen circumstances outside of our control. We will update you on any changes if they arise
