Wānaka Cinema Paradiso's Calum MacLeod is on The Outlet Queenstown Podcast this week discussing the magic of the silver screen.

Scotsman MacLeod talks about his own journey to becoming a cinema owner in a mountain town in New Zealand, and the emotional decision to pass the baton to another local family after three decades.

He talks about the transition from 35mm to digital projection, the challenges faced during the COVID-19 pandemic, and recounts some wonderful anecdotes from his time running the much-loved theatre, which maintains the tradition of an intermission and has become a cultural landmark, continuing to cultivate a love of cinema.
