Kora are on the bill for The Valley

Gibbston’s brand-new music festival The Valley has unveiled a stellar line-up for January 2026.

Kora, The Black Seeds, Reb Fountain, and Hollie Smith will all take to the stage at The Church Cellar Door, Gibbston, on Saturday, 24 January, supported by local favourites Robert Glen and The Meadow Sounds Band.

"This lineup is exactly what we dreamed of when we set out to create The Valley,” Festival Director Nathan White says. “It’s a celebration of Aotearoa’s soundscape, paired with the food, wine and natural beauty that makes Gibbston truly iconic.”

Produced by Ripe Events, the team behind the acclaimed Ripe - The Wānaka Wine & Food Festival, The Valley is designed as a premium festival experience with food and drinks part of the attraction, including local producers Scapegrace, Mount Edward Wines and Canyon Brewing.

White says the aim is to become a cornerstone of the South Island summer calendar.

Tickets go on sale 1 September, with GA starting at just $89 with extremely limited VIP option also on offer.

While the festival is not targeted to the youngest ones, Children under 12 will be free if you can’t find a babysitter.
