Kinloch Road remains closed due to strong wind bringing down multiple trees yesterday.

The road is currently flooded following overnight rain and another tree is down at Greenstone Station Road.

"We hope to have further updates once flooding subsides more," a Queenstown Lakes District Council spokesperson says.

The road was closed yesterday evening after extremely strong winds brought multiple large trees down in the Kōwhai Bush area.

Conditions were too dangerous for crews to begin work.
