Cardrona Alpine Resort is set for a limited opening this Saturday, June 15.

As the snow continues to fall through Thursday, Cardrona and Treble Cone GM, Laura Hedley has confirmed the team up the mountain are putting the final touches on the resort, ready to welcome the first skiers and snowboarders for the winter season.

This weekend the ski area will open with the learner conveyors and the McDougall’s Chondola, with first chair tees up for grabs. The terrain park team are hoping to put in a couple of rail features, and guests will be able to grab a bite and a brew at Base Café, Base Bar, and Mezz.

“We’re so stoked to kick off Winter 2024 this weekend,” says Cardrona and Treble Cone GM, Laura Hedley. “Our team has been working incredibly hard to make this happen – including the snowmaking and grooming team, supplementing the natural snowfall we’ve received in the last two weeks.”

As conditions allow, the Cardrona team will progressively open the rest of the mountain facilities. Treble Cone is set to open on Saturday, June 29.
